Who is ICTO?

The real challenge is not simply building smarter technologies. That is why ICTO exists.

Founded as an international academic community, ICTO began with a simple mission: to create opportunities for researchers from every region of the world to contribute to the future of Information Systems. We believed that excellent ideas should never be limited by geography, resources, or institutional prestige.

Today, our vision is even more ambitious.

We are building a global community where researchers, educators, industry leaders, policymakers, and students work together to shape the future of responsible digital innovation. Our members do not simply study technology—they explore how technology transforms organizations, governments, businesses, healthcare, education, and society.

At ICTO, research is not an end in itself.

Research becomes knowledge.

This philosophy guides everything we do —from our international conferences, chapters and Special Interest Groups to our doctoral consortiums, publication initiatives, policy dialogues, and global partnerships.
